Pennsylvania
Summertime in Pennsylvania.
This is Steve's Old Country Store. Last year, we were lucky enough to watch him demonstrate how to open Coke bottles with his teeth. He seems quite happy in the pictures, but notice he's not smiling with his teeth...
Well, thanks for the Coke that my dad can swig down in one huge gulp! Thank goodness he didn't use his teeth. I don't think he has enough left to try anyway.
Thanks for the demonstration. I'll remember for next year. Even though I didn't manage to open any bottles with my teeth, I was so excited to see Bubble Tape Bubble Gum that I promptly dropped it on the ground and the case cracked open and it neatly unrolled across the shag carpet that probably has been there longer than I've been alive. I could have caught it but being the greedy person that I am, my hands were already filled with chips, candy and enough chocolate to put me over the edge. Oops!

Fabulous Finds!
A lovely skirt from Salvation Army for $2.50? I think so! Following the "Dry Clean Only" washing instructions? I don't think so! Yes, I added the ice just to make sure my newest steal didn't bleed in the always lukewarm Florida water.
I'm happy to say it turned out just fine.

Fabulous Finds!
I'd seen this blazer at Kmart earlier in the summer and thought it would be fun to wear. But, seeing since I live in sunny South Florida that automatically means I would melt into a puddle of sweat if I tried to wear this anytime during the months of May - October. Plus, Kmart had it priced at $34.99 which I think is a little pricey for Kmart. I was lucky enough to pick it up about two weeks ago for $10.99! Unfortunately, it's still dripping with humidity and heat outside, so the only place I'll be able to wear it is the icebox where I work. Maybe in a few months there'll be one or two nights where the temperature dips below the sweat range. Check it out!
It turns out that this blazer is actually very well made! It has great details as you can see and it's also lined. In addition, the pockets are real and not just flaps. The fit is great and hits right at the hip.
I'm so glad I bought this when I did, it's sold out online and the price went back up in the stores. I've also been seeing very similar blazers at J.Crew, GAP and others but for much more $$$$.
