Pennsylvania

Summertime in Pennsylvania.

This is Steve's Old Country Store. Last year, we were lucky enough to watch him demonstrate how to open Coke bottles with his teeth. He seems quite happy in the pictures, but notice he's not smiling with his teeth...

Everyone is excited to see Steve and see how much money they can spend on junk food to put them into a sugar coma. Ice cream, beef jerky, old calendars and every kind of candy imaginable all in one convenient location. And by convenient I mean in the middle of nowhere, in a town with no traffic lights, but plenty of Amish buggies.

Well, thanks for the Coke that my dad can swig down in one huge gulp! Thank goodness he didn't use his teeth. I don't think he has enough left to try anyway.

Thanks for the demonstration. I'll remember for next year. Even though I didn't manage to open any bottles with my teeth, I was so excited to see Bubble Tape Bubble Gum that I promptly dropped it on the ground and the case cracked open and it neatly unrolled across the shag carpet that probably has been there longer than I've been alive. I could have caught it but being the greedy person that I am, my hands were already filled with chips, candy and enough chocolate to put me over the edge. Oops!

Fabulous Finds!

A lovely skirt from Salvation Army for $2.50?  I think so! Following the "Dry Clean Only" washing instructions? I don't think so! Yes, I added the ice just to make sure my newest steal didn't bleed in the always lukewarm Florida water.

I'm happy to say it turned out just fine.

Paired with a simple J.Crew tank.

Of course you can't forget about the matching DIY nails.

Skirt - Salvation Army  $2.50
  Tank - J.Crew outlet  $7
  Shoes - Ross $18
Jewlery - Gifts - my family has great taste!
